Mariposa

Mariposa died after being attacked in the street.

A trans woman, approximately 35 years old, was attacked with a short-bladed weapon and died in the middle of a public road on Calle 24 and Carrera 8 in the San Nicolas neighborhood.

The victim was known as 'Mariposa' and so far has not been fully identified.

According to preliminary information, prior to the attack there may have been an argument with another trans woman, an account which authorities will have to confirm and verify during the investigation.

The incident happened this past Monday, September 7 and comes after three other violent deaths recorded in the city during that same day.
