The victim was stabbed. Her identity was not reported, but reportedly she managed to identify one of her assailants before she passed away.
A trans woman whose name was not disclosed died after being stabbed on Sunday night (6), near Praça da República, in the Campina neighborhood, in Belém. The crime is being investigated by the Civil Police.
"The Commercial Precinct is investigating the homicide. Teams are working to identify the perpetrator and clarify the motive for the crime. Forensic examinations have been requested and witnesses are being interviewed to assist in the investigation. Information that contributes to the police work can be passed on through the anonymous tip line, at number 181. Confidentiality is guaranteed," it stated.
According to initial reports, the victim was stabbed three times in the back during an attack on a street in the commercial area. Despite her injuries, she managed to run from the scene and sought help on Avenida Presidente Vargas. She crossed the avenue but collapsed at the corner of Rua General Gurjão, where she died.
According to reports, before dying, the victim allegedly mentioned the nickname "Chifre" (Horn) as belonging to someone involved in the stabbing. This information will be verified during the investigation, but so far there is no official confirmation regarding the identity of the perpetrator or the motive for the homicide.
