A 45-year-old transgender woman was stabbed to death on Saturday night (July 4th) in the Carajás neighborhood, in Contagem, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. The suspect, a 21-year-old man, was beaten by residents, tied to a traffic sign, and ended up confessing to the crime to the Military Police (PMMG).
The officers who responded to the incident found the woman on the bed, with several stab wounds and burn marks on her hair. A knife and two lighters were seized at the scene.
Police found the suspect tied to a traffic sign, being beaten by men with pieces of wood and stones after they learned of the murder. The perpetrators of the attack were not located.
Since the suspect was injured, he received medical attention and was taken to the UPA Ressaca emergency care unit. During questioning by the police, he confessed to the crime, according to the Military Police.
