After spending several days hospitalized in critical condition at the SAMIC Hospital, her death was confirmed and the court ordered an autopsy to try to determine precisely how the injury that caused her death occurred.
The incident came to light on the morning of April 2nd, when police officers were alerted to the presence of an injured person in the eucalyptus grove. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers confirmed that it was “Caí,” who was unconscious on the ground and had a visible injury to her face.
According to the police report filed at the time, the victim was found in an area where she was allegedly living on the streets. Due to the severity of her condition, she was rushed to the local SAMIC Hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition.
