Sabrina was killed in a bar. She was a beauty salon owner and was reportedly a quiet person
The murder of Sabrina , a trans woman, which occurred on the night of Monday, April 6, in a bar in Tlayacapan, shocked the LGBTQ+ community in the state, who condemned the events and demanded justice for this crime.
Activist Alida Martinez remembered Sabrina as a hard-working woman who owned beauty salons, which provided her with a livelihood to get ahead. "We mourn the murder of our comrade, our friend, our sister, of many trans comrades; I come to demand justice for the murder of our comrade, that it not go unpunished like so many others that have been forgotten."
She expressed confidence that the authorities would clarify the facts , stating that he didn't know what could have happened to cause someone to attack Sabrina in that way. "We don't know if it was a hate crime, a crime of passion; the authorities will investigate".
"She was a fighter, she was a woman who had her own beauty salons, she wasn't very well known in activism, she was a very quiet woman" - Alida MartÃnez, an LGBTQ+ rights activist.
She placed a candle on the altar to victims outside the Government Palace in Cuernavaca, as a sign of mourning for the murder of Sabrina and lamented that the situation of discrimination against members of the LGBTQ+ community is widespread throughout the state of Morelos.
Sabrina was murdered inside Bar El Jacalito, located on the Yautepec-Tlayacapan highway, near the Las Vivianas neighborhood. The case has been turned over to the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) for investigation.
