Morgana's body was found two days after she had gone missing.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of femicide.
Morgana Clemente Ferreira, 19, was found dead after leaving a fast food restaurant and disappearing in Goiás , in the northwest of the state. According to police, the suspect took her to a place to shower and drink. Morgana's body was found near the location indicated by the suspect.
"He allegedly went with her to a place called 'Poço da Sota'. The young man went to the location to show the teams where he had consumed alcoholic drinks with the victim," said Detective Gustavo.
According to the police, Morgana disappeared on Sunday (12) and her body was found on Tuesday (14) with a puncture wound in the abdomen. According to the forensic examination the object used was probably a knife.
Detective Gustavo Cabral stated that the suspect showed no reaction upon seeing the young woman's body and that the evidence gathered during the investigation points to his involvement in the crime. The investigation will continue, and if the suspicion is confirmed, he will face charges of femicide. According to the police, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday (14) and must answer for the crime of femicide.
