Ariel's burned body was found in a vacant lot in the La Curva neighborhood of Managua.
On the morning of this April 7, the body of Ariel Mendoza, a trans woman, was found with signs of violence, semi-burned and in a state of decomposition in a vacant lot in the La Curva neighborhood in Managua.
Mendoza was 36 years old and sold coffee at the El Mayoreo market. Until now, there is no one responsible for this hate crime against this member of the LGTBIQ+ community in Nicaragua.
Neighbors of Mendoza indicated that she had been reported by her family as a missing person for eight days and the forensic doctor confirmed that she had first-degree burns and signs of violence, proving that she was viciously attacked.
