Kenia was shot by unidentified assailants while walking towards her home.

After struggling between life and death inside the General Hospital of Córdoba, a trans woman finally lost her life after being shot at by unknown armed individuals when she was walking in the vicinity of the Suchil neighborhood in the municipality of Chocamán.

The deceased responded to the name of [deadname] Salazar, 38 years old, better known as "La Kenia", and residing in the same town.

Her state of health was reported by the specialist doctors at the Hospital before El Yanga as serious and critical because he received four gunshot wounds; two presumably in the head, one in the chest and one in the leg.

The armed attack committed by unknown individuals took place last Tuesday night in the Suchil neighborhood of the municipality of Chocamán, when the victim was walking towards her home and was intercepted and shot at point-blank range.

The alleged hitmen took advantage of the lack of police surveillance and fled in an unknown direction, leaving the badly injured woman abandoned.

In a matter of minutes, officers from the Municipal Police and paramedics from the Samuv Group arrived at the scene, who, upon confirming that the person still had vital signs, stabilized her and urgently transferred her to the El Yanga General Hospital of Córdoba, where she finally lost consciousness.
