Negão, a cis woman named Angelica and her 1-year-old child were all killed during a home invasion. Thinking it was a robbery, the victims had tried to hide in one of the rooms.
Three people were murdered in the early hours of Tuesday, March 7, at the residential Nova Vida 1, in the João de Deus neighborhood, in Petrolina, Sertão de Pernambuco. The victims are a 23-year-old trans woman, a 19-year-old woman and a 1-year-old child.
According to witnesses, the mother and child were killed inside the house. The trans woman was murdered in front of the residence. None of the three lived at the crime scene.
Also according to neighbors, the trans woman, known in the community as Negão, was a friend of the child's mother. The woman was identified as Angelica.
In a note, the Civil Police reported that unknown armed men had invaded the residence. The victims thought it was a robbery and ran into the property and allegedly tried to hide in one of the rooms. The perpetrators fled. The case is being investigated.
The bodies of the victims will be laid to rest in the homes of their relatives, in the Nova Vida 1 residential area.
