Lorena's body was found in overgrowth on Wednesday 1st March, around 8 days after she had been seen getting into an unidentified vehicle.
On the afternoon of this Wednesday, the 1st, shortly after 3 pm, a mower operator found the body of the [trans woman] Lorena Fox, who disappeared for almost eight days, after getting into an unidentified vehicle on Avenida Enedino Alves da Paixão, close to the old Luís Eduardo Magalhães bus station.
The body was found in an area of grass at the end of Avenida Tancredo Neves, next to a sector of condominiums in the Jardim Paraíso neighborhood. A black shoe was found next to the body, which was already in an advanced state of decomposition. Lorena's family even offered a reward to whoever informs the whereabouts of the [trans woman].
The Civil Police continues to listen to witnesses, family members, acquaintances of Lorena and looking for images from security cameras to arrive at the authorship and motivation of the homicide. The Civil and Military Police, in addition to the Municipal Guard, are at the scene of the crime to carry out the investigation.
Two suspects were arrested in April 2023.
A 27-year-old man suspected of killing Lorena Fox, a trans woman found dead in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia, was arrested on Wednesday (19). According to the Civil Police, the man said he committed the crime after falling out with the victim over the amounts charged in a program.
According to the police, the man, who had an open temporary arrest warrant, was found by teams from the Territorial Police Station of Luís Eduardo Magalhães. Another suspect involved in the murder was arrested on Saturday (15).
