Rose died by suicide. Her gender identity was not accepted by her family annd she had been the victim of transphobia and bullying at school.
A 15-year-old trans girl and student at Escola Secundária Camilo Castelo Branco, in Vila Real, allegedly asked to go to the bathroom during a class.
Rose later appeared dead in a valley in the city of Vila Real on this Tuesday.
Reports on social networks indicate that Rose did not feel her her gender identity was fully understood and accepted within her family (as a result of which she was not able to update her citizenshiip card), and was the target of bullying at school.
