Michelle's body was found in the street early on Sunday 4th October. She had been stabbed 3 times.

Nine days ago they ended the life of [Michelle] Ramos, a paisa transgender woman who had lived in Cartagena for several months, on calle El Tancón in the Olaya Herrera neighborhood. At the Forensic Medicine morgue, her relatives and that institution identified her as [deadname] Ramos Alarcón, 26.

[Michelle], or Brenda as she was also known, was assassinated with three stab wounds at dawn on October 4 at the back of the Plaza de Toros. According to witnesses, a subject known as 'Carlos' was the aggressor.

His death caused outrage on social media and in the LGBT community in Bolívar and throughout the country. The tragic death of this trans girl recalled other cases that continue to demand justice and evidence the violence against this community.
