Rafhynha Pimenta

Rafhyna's body was found in an abandoned house on the afternoon of Thursday 19th March. She had been missing since Saturday 14th March.

The body of [deadname] dos Santos Farias, who was trans, was found, on the afternoon of last Thursday (19), by people in an abandoned residence located in the Poço da Pedra settlement, in the Arapiraca countryside.

According to accurate information, Rafinha Pimenta, as she was known, had been missing since Saturday.

According to confirmed information, the body was also in an advanced state of decomposition, and the necropsy of the Arapiraca IML showed that the body had been burned. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but there is no doubt that the [girl] was murdered, because the fact that the body was burned already shows the violence.

Our report also found that the victim had broken teeth and suffered other violence. The Civil Police have started investigating the case, but still have no clues on who the perpetrators may be.

SOHMOS GLBT DE ARAPIRACA regrets to report the death of [deadname] Souza known as (Rafhynha Pimenta). According to relatives, Rafhynha was found dead in an abandoned house, in the rural area of Arapiraca. She had left her home accompanied by two boys on Saturday, and from then on the family considered her missing. Yesterday afternoon (Thursday) 19/03 her body was found with signs of cruelty and in an advanced state of decomposition.

Our feelings go out to Rafhynha's father and mother, family and friends for their great pain and loss. The LGBTQI+ movement suffers along with the family and demands that the authorities deliver justice to those responsible.
