Cicarelli was stabbed more than twenty times. Two suspects were arrested, but one was still being looked for.
The body of a 36-year-old [trans woman] was found early on Tuesday (16), at the corner of ruas José Tadeu Cabral and Eurydice de Barros Esteves, in the Mangabeira neighborhood of João Pessoa. According to the Civil Police, the victim was reportedly killed with more than 20 stab wounds.
Police said residents of the neighborhood left home when they saw the body and no one could explain how the murder happened. In addition to the stab wounds, the victim's right ear was cut and the forensic found a stone beside her body. The object will be analyzed to see if it was used in the crime.
According to the Civil Police, the victim's family members testified and said that the victim had no involvement with any kind of crime and that they do not know the motives for the murder. The case will be investigated by the João Pessoa Homicide Department.
