Steffany was shot in her hairdressing salon on the evening of Thursday 30th April. Two suspects were apprehended by police.
A [trans woman] was murdered early on Thursday night (30) in the city of Caucaia, in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza. The victim was shot in her salon. Two murder suspects were captured by military police. In less than 24 hours, eight murders have been recorded in the area.
The crime against the hairdresser occurred at around 7 pm. At this time teams from the Homicide and Personnel Protection Division (DHPP), the Ceará State Forensic Forensic Expertise (Pefoce) and the chief of the Legal Medicine Coordination (Comel) are still at the crime scene, along with patrols of the Ronda do Block and 12th BPM (Caucaia).
According to initial police reports, the assailants broke into the victim's salon on Rua 145 Nova Metrópole and fired several shots at close range, giving the victim no chance to react. The dead [woman] was identified only as "Stefanny".
