Déjà Johnson

Déjà was shot in the back and killed while fleeing an armed robbery.

The shooter was identified as Jeffrey Trivanty Flanders by witnesses who recognised the perpetrator's physical appearance (he was only 4 foot 2 inches tall and suffered from rickets from an early age, resulting in him having the nickname "Bowlegs".

In July 2003 Flanders was convicted of her murder and sentenced to life in prison. As of August 2021, he remains incarcerated.
