Sissy's body was found in a drainage ditch.

One of those gardens belongs to longtime Ogeecheeton resident Elease Smith, 72, who lives at the dead end of Pate Street. Smith found the bodies of two of the victims, one after spotting buzzards circling woods above an open drainage ditch past a barricade at the end of Pate Street, several hundred yards from her home. She found the body of Charles "Sissy" Bolden, 36, on Oct. 15, 1999. Buzzards led her to the body of JonAndrea Wiggins, 30, about a year later, on Nov. 26.

Smith says she won't go back to the ditch anymore. "I've seen enough bodies," Smith said at her home last week. The body of the third homicide victim, Jan D. Pringle, 36, was found on Christmas Day 2000, just off Ogeechee Road.
