The victim was shot in the back on Itaparica beach. According to a witness her assailant was a man who had just argued with her.
A [trans woman] was shot in the back, on Avenida José Júlio de Souza, one of the busiest on Itaparica beach, in Vila Velha. The crime happened on the night of this Friday (15).
The location where the attack happened was deserted, but a witness saw the moment when a man, dressed in a white shirt, argued with the [trans woman]. Then he shot the victim.
Despite having a purse when she was killed, the victim carried no identification documents. Footage from a CCTV camera at the city hall which was a few meters from the scene of the murder may be able to assist in the investigations.
The victim's body was sent to the Legal Medical Department (DML) of Vitória, to be necropsied and later released to the family.
