Kalyndra's body was found inside her home on Friday 18th June. Her partner was arrested the following day.
A 29-year-old man was arrested in the act this Saturday (19th) for the murder of 26-year-old trans woman Kalyndra Selva Guedes Nogueira da Hora. She was found dead inside her house, in Ipsep in the south of Recife. According to the Civil Police, the suspect was the victim's partner.
The Military Police reported that the man was arrested on the street where the crime took place on Rua Rio Colorado after a call to 190.
The arrest was made by the Military Police at around 9 am. Police found the man at the location named in the call and took him to the Department of Homicide and Protection of Persons (DHPP) of the Civil Police, in the Cordeiro neighborhood of the western part of Recife.
The man, according to the Civil Police, was referred to a custody hearing. G1 was unable to discover the outcome of the session, as the name of the suspect has not been confirmed.
