Selin's body was found in her home salon by neighbours on 11th October after they noticed that the door had been open all night. She had been killed the evening before.

A trans person was found dead next to the massage table in her home.

The incident took place yesterday at 18.30 in the Çaglayan neighborhood of Muratpasa district. Transgender [woman] [deadname] Aynaci, who moved to the ground floor of the 5-storey building 4 years ago, lived alone. The neighbors who saw Aynaci's house door open yesterday morning did not suspect the situation, thinking they had forgotten. However, when the door was open in the same way in the evening, a neighbor called to Aynaci. Neighbors entered the house after she gave no response.

After seeing that Aynaci was lying naked and motionless next to the massage table in the salon, her neighbors reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The medical teams who arrived confirmed that Aynaci was dead. While police teams did not find any traces of violence on Aynaci's body, they determined that there was hair on the inside of her fingernails.
