Brenda's body was found on a mattress with a scarf and dryer cords wrapped around her neck. Her body showed bruising indicating that she may have been tortured.
Brenda Venegas Ayquipa lived alone and her family had been looking for her for three days. Today, around 4 pm, National Police officers found her body on a mattress, with dryer cords and a scarf around her neck. Her victimizer would have hanged her. It happened in San Juan de Lurigancho.
What the authorities did not find were any valuables in the victim's house, which suggests that the motive for the crime was robbery.
Brenda's lifeless body was found on the third floor of the building located at Avenida Lima 397, Caja de Agua, in the San Juan de Lurigancho district. Her hairdressing business operated on the first floor.
According to police the family suspects the victim's partner, who was a citizen of Venezuelan nationality.
