J. F. do Nascimento Martins was shot by an unidentified assailant in a bar.

A 27-year-old [trans woman] was shot and killed on Monday night (6) in the city of Bayeux, in Greater João Pessoa. The victim was identified as Jeferson Felipe do Nascimento Martins.

In a report by Rede Tambaú de Comunicação (RTC), the Military Police reported that the victim was in a bar when an unidentified suspect shot her. The young woman tried to run and take shelter in a residence, but died there.

According to the police, the crime may have been linked to drug trafficking. Teams from the Mobile Attendance Service (Samu) were called and confirmed the death.
