W. was found dead inside a home on Sunday 24th March in the village of Dos Caminos. She had been beaten to death and the building set on fire.
A member of the LGBTI community was found dead at dawn this Sunday in the village of El Milagro de Dos Caminos in Villanueva, Cortés, northern Honduras.
The victim is Wilmer Adalí Hernández Rápalo (24).
Allegedly, Hernández Rápalo was beaten to death and then set on fire inside a house where a business selling tortillas is operating.
Since 2009 more than 322 members of the LGBTI community They have been murdered, 24 of them so far in 2019, and more than 98% of the cases continue to go unpunished, according to Kevin Ramos, an activist with the Center for Development and LGBTI Cooperation
