Caio Dantas Monteiro

Caio and his girlfriend Iasmym Nascimento de Souza da Silva, 20, were stabbed to death by a neighbour who had earlier propositioned Iasmym. She had turned him down.

The murder took place on Rua Matelândia in the Japuíba neighborhood.

Itamar Bernardo da Silva, 44, was taken into custody and charged with double homicide while trying to escape to Barra Mansa. At the police station he was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for the murder of a woman in Araxá, Minas Gerais.
