Julia Almeida

Julia was found with wires around her neck in a partially charred sugarcane field on Saturday 25th June.

She had been missing since 21st June.

The 28-year-old [trans woman] [deadname] de Almeida, better known as Julia, was found dead over the weekend at kilometer 6 of vicinal Jerônimo Nunes Macedo in rural Ituverava.

According to information from the Military Police, the victim had been missing since the 21st and was last seen at a gas station in the city. The victim was half naked and there was a wire tied around her neck.

After the forensic work, the body that was in an advanced state of decomposition was taken to IML (Forensic Medical Institute) and recognized by family members. The victim lived in the Guanabara 3 neighborhood in Ituverava
