CANCUN, MX.- As a result of the theft of a cell phone, the State Judicial Police (PJE) arrested a murderer who was at large. This is Jorge Colorado Muñoz, who in January of this year murdered his sentimental partner in Playa del Carmen, identified as [deadname] Prieto Medina; as a result of which an arrest warrant which had already been issued against him for the crime of homicide.
[deadname] Prieto Medina, 28 years old, originally from Mérida, Yucatán, was found at midnight that day, in the middle of a bloody scene, wrapped in a blanket on her bed inside a room located on Avenue 55 between streets 2 and 4 in the Ejidal neighborhood. She had been brutally murdered with blows and stabs in the head.
The detainee confessed to a crime of passion, accepting that he had been a sentimental partner of the now deceased, whom he murdered out of jealousy.
