Tiffany was stabbed in the neck - allegedly by another trans sex worker with whom she had a feud.
A 24-year-old [trans woman] died after being stabbed in the neck. The crime occurred around 3am on Rua 2, Lírio do Vale neighborhood in the West Zone of Manaus. According to the Civil and Military Police, the crime was committed by another [trans woman] who was arrested shortly after the incident.
Tiffany Latifah's brother told G1 that she was drinking in a bar with friends before she was killed.
"There was a moment when he left. On the street, she was approached by this other [trans woman], with whom she had an old feud", said industrialist Uheliton Farias.
According to Uheliton, the victim was hit in the neck. The industrialist also said that, after the crime, the suspect went to the bar, saying that Tiffany had been stabbed. “His friends were suspicious, until a witness recognized [the suspect],” he said.
People called a Military Police vehicle that was passing by the place. The police arrested the suspect, who was taken to the 19th Integrated Police District (DIP).
The victim was taken to the Emergency Care Service (SPA) in the Alvorada neighborhood, but he did not survive her injuries and died shortly after arriving at the unit.
